I discovered Reiki

In 1999 cancer was discovered.  After surgery and radiation I began to search for a healthier lifestyle to balance mind, body, and spirit.  The answer for me was Reiki and in 2000 I earned the designation of Reiki master teacher.

I practiced Reiki when I thought it was needed, but I was not persistent in daily applications.  To receive the maximum benefit of Reiki it is important to practice daily.

The cancer was not done yet…..in 2002, after additional surgery and chemotherapy I decided it was time to make serious changes in my life.  I began to practice Reiki on self – being persistent and patient with myself.  The benefit was an easier and quicker recovery.  I was able to return to work sooner than expected.

Through the years I continue to learn of the many benefits of practicing Reiki and the importance of daily practice.  There are days I feel the need more than others.  Now, whether I feel like I need it or not, I practice Reiki.  If I do not practice Reiki daily then I am not taking the best care of myself, nor am I at my highest level as a provider of this subtle, loving energy as I share with others.
